Family Counseling Associates of Massachusetts, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you will play an integral role in our vision to make healthcare better for everyone by providing compassionate, high-quality care to our diverse patient population.
In this role, you will evaluate and treat a wide variety of mental health conditions. We provide comprehensive operational and organizational support—handling administrative tasks such as credentialing and contracting—allowing you to focus entirely on patient care and clinical outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize evidence-based screening tools and diagnostic criteria to formulate comprehensive treatment plans
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient’s needs
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications per established protocols and clinical guidelines, monitoring efficacy and side effects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Clear, active, and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Board certified as a PMHNP-BC by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or eligible for board certification
- Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing in an outpatient setting

Our comprehensive compensation and benefits package generally ranges from $104,500 to $156,000 in base pay, with added eligibility for quarterly incentive bonuses.
