Kohler is seeking a Sr NPD Project Leader to join our North America Faucets team. This is an onsite position, requiring work from our Kenosha, WI, or Kohler, WI, location four days per week, with an ability to travel 10 to 20 percent, including international travel. As a member of our New Product Development project team, you will focus on product categories for the North America region, encompassing both regional and global projects.
In this role, you will lead product development teams to launch innovative new products while improving the quality, performance, and cost of existing offerings. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing cross-functional teams using the KBDP new product development process through market launch and driving each program to defined metrics.
- Developing and managing project budgets, including development expense, capital tooling, and expense tooling, while guiding the team to meet cost targets.
- Developing and monitoring project schedules, adhering to the KBDP process, and managing deliverables, tasks, and risks within each project phase.
- Providing leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback to cross-functional team members, and communicating project status, execution plans, and processes to senior management.
- Facilitating decision-making processes, coaching personnel on cross-functional solutions to complex issues, and establishing relationships with senior leadership to align objectives and remove obstacles.
- Leading regional and global projects of moderate-to-high complexity, risk, and business impact while providing structure for solving technically complex design and business problems.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a product development related discipline, such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Design.
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in concurrent product development, including project management, product design, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Demonstrate the capability to build cohesive high-performance teams, improve development processes, and communicate effectively with associates and executives.
- Global product development experience is preferred but not required.
