Optum is seeking a Medical Oncology Resident Pathway participant to join our team on a flexible, remote basis. As part of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. This temporary role is specifically designed for physician residents in their final year of training who are interested in pursuing a full-time role with our group following the completion of their residency.
In this position, OptumCare will educate and prepare physicians to join our group full-time by providing a customized program with exposure to our radiation oncology team and the broader organization. The program is designed to fit your busy schedule, requiring only a few hours per month maximum. You will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the United States while engaging with collaborative peers in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Required qualifications for this role include:
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Transitioning into the final year or early into the final year of residency or fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in specialty
- Active, unrestricted NV license and DEA, or the ability to obtain prior to employment
For residents located in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C., the salary range for this role is $33,280 to $41,700 annually, with pay based on factors including local labor markets, education, and work experience. In addition to your adjusted annual salary, eligible participants may have access to a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution options, subject to plan eligibility requirements.
