Optum is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our clinical care team in Beaumont, California. In this outpatient primary care role, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive environment. You will manage a schedule designed to support comprehensive patient care while working alongside talented peers and dedicated support staff, including Medical Assistants who assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, managing prescription refills, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
Position highlights and responsibilities include:
- Primary care outpatient practice encompassing office consults, annual visits, follow-up appointments, and general in-office procedures
- Monday through Friday schedule with structured appointment times, including 40 minutes for consults and 20 minutes for follow-up appointments
- An average patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day
- Providing comprehensive care for patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program
- Completed 2+ years of residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds prior to the start date
- Postgraduate Training License or Unrestricted California State Medical License required prior to start date
- Current paid-status DEA certificate prior to start date
- Current ACLS certificate prior to start date
- Current PALS certificate (if applicable) prior to start date
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $229,500 to $378,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus, and is determined by factors including local labor markets, education, and work experience, with potential increases over time based on productivity and performance. Eligible team members also receive a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401(k) contributions, subject to standard eligibility requirements.
