We are seeking a strategic Senior Manager, Quality Packaging Engineer to lead the development, validation, and implementation of cold chain packaging solutions across our distribution network. This remote role, based out of Lubbock, TX, requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing a team responsible for the design, validation, and deployment of new and existing cold chain packaging solutions and ensuring appropriate change management.
Leading network-wide changes and initiatives related to cold chain packaging and transportation controls.
Collaborating cross-functionally with Enterprise Quality, Logistics, Operations, and external packaging solution providers to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
Monitoring and ensuring correct packaging solutions are utilized at Distribution Centers while managing vendor relationships and evaluating new technologies.
Leading updates and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and talent development.

Minimum requirements and qualifications include:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field (master’s degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in engineering or quality roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or food industries.
Minimum of 1 to 7 years of supervisory and progressive leadership experience, with a strong focus on cold chain logistics in a regulated environment.
At least 3 years of direct experience overseeing cold chain packaging programs.
Strong knowledge of ISTA standards, validation protocols, FDA regulations, and wholesale distribution or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and driving strategic initiatives.
Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Must be authorized to work in the USA, as sponsorship is not available for this role.

McKesson is proud to offer a competitive compensation package as part of our Total Rewards. The base pay range for this position is $109,500 to $182,500, determined by factors such as performance, experience, skills, equity, and geographical market, alongside potential annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
