Integrated Behavioral Health of Baton Rouge, part of Optum, is currently seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist (MD or DO) to join our outpatient center in Baton Rouge, LA. We specialize in caring for children, adolescents, and adults coping with a wide array of psychological conditions, utilizing a multidisciplinary and integrated approach that includes psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and modern alternative treatments. A sign-on bonus is offered for external candidates.
In this role, you will assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for behavioral health and psychological disorders, addressing the diverse mental health needs of our patient population. Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Provide direct clinical services to patients in the form of psychosocial assessments to individuals, families, and couples.
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management.
- Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary integrated team for the development and delivery of treatment plans.
- Foster excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications for this role include:
- Clear and active Physician License (MD or DO) in the state of Louisiana.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry.
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration.
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) License.
- Within commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA.
Preferred qualifications include two or more years of behavioral health experience in an outpatient clinical setting, experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation, and expertise in treating children, adolescents, and families.
The salary range for this role is $214,000 to $382,000 annually based on full-time employment, defined as total cash compensation at target, with the actual range and pay mix of base and bonus varying based upon experience and metric achievement. The position also includes quarterly bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution options, subject to eligibility requirements.
