Optum is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our clinician-led care organization. As a member of our care delivery team, you will play an integral role in our vision to make healthcare better for everyone, backed by the clinical resources, data, and support of a global organization.
In this outpatient primary care role located in Banning, California, you will manage patient care with a predictable schedule running Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring no call and no weekends. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting consultations, follow-up appointments, well-checks, and scheduled screenings. You will primarily care for an adult and senior patient base while remaining comfortable seeing patients of all ages. The average daily patient census ranges from 18 to 20 patients, supported by scheduled appointment times of 40 minutes for new patients and 20 minutes for follow-ups. You will work alongside a dedicated support staff of nurses and medical assistants.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Board eligibility or board certification (BE/BC) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Unrestricted California State Medical License
- Current California DEA certificate
- EMR proficiency
Preferred qualifications include bilingual Spanish-speaking skills and one or more years of experience working in primary care.
The annual salary range for this full-time role is $229,500 to $378,000, with final pay determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience.
