Guidehouse is seeking a Director for our Life Sciences Advisory practice, focusing on Patient Support Programs within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors. This role is based in Philadelphia, PA, and falls within our Strategy & Transformation Consulting family. The position requires up to 50% travel to client sites across the US.
In this leadership role, you will act as a trusted advisor to key clients, driving business development, cultivating high-value relationships, and managing multiple concurrent projects to ensure quality control, adherence to scope, and client satisfaction. You will supervise, mentor, and develop Guidehouse personnel while collaborating with the leadership team to identify and build new offerings based on evolving industry needs.
Common projects and responsibilities include:
- Developing Patient Services Program Blueprints, detailed program designs, and customer experience strategies.
- Identifying emerging digital technologies and optimal operating models to address persistent patient challenges.
- Defining methodologies to measure, benchmark, and analyze patient support program performance.
- Supporting the requirements definition and operational build-out of in-house and outsourced hubs and related programs.
- Driving business development activities, including proposal development and scoping.
Qualifications and requirements for this position include:
- BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 10 years of Life Sciences consulting experience, or a strong blend of consulting and industry experience.
- Deep subject matter expertise in patient services programs, program design, regulatory and compliance issues, and patient journey development for specialty medications.
- Proven track record of generating revenues with existing clients and executing account penetration strategies.
- Strong analytical, research, and data collection skills with the ability to guide client and team decision-making.
- Authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD degree, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into client-ready deliverables.
The annual salary range for this position is $206,000.00 to $343,000.00, with compensation determined by factors such as relevant skill sets, training, and experience.
