Christus Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our busy Urgent Care team, supporting patients in the Cibolo and New Braunfels, TX areas. We are looking for a dedicated healthcare professional with a proven ability to manage patients independently in a dynamic, fast-paced outpatient setting.
As a key member of our clinical team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and non-emergent conditions.
- Performing minor procedures, wound care, suturing, splinting, and other essential urgent care services.
- Ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory work.
- Collaborating effectively with urgent care physicians and support staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Educating patients clearly on treatment plans, prescribed medications, and necessary follow-up care.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid and active Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current national certification through the NCCPA.
- Previous clinical experience working in an urgent care environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Demonstrated excellent clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
This position features a schedule of three shifts per week, including rotating weekends.
