CHRISTUS Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for General Surgery to join our team in Texarkana, AR. In this PRN role, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance within a supportive, physician-led medical group.
As part of the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic network—a multi-specialty medical group comprising hundreds of providers across multiple states—you will work within a mission-driven, faith-based organization dedicated to extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Our clinical environments utilize the Epic EMR system to streamline patient documentation and support coordinated care teams.
Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this position typically include:
- Providing comprehensive clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and management of general surgery patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Collaborating closely with general surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Participating in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, patient education, and clinical follow-up as required by the practice.
Position requirements and qualifications include:
- Must hold a current professional license in the state of Texas, or be fully eligible to obtain licensure.
- Advanced Practice Provider credentials appropriate for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in general surgery.
