OB/GYN Physician, Optum CA – Pasadena

Optum is seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN Physician to join our care delivery team in Pasadena, CA. In this role, you will manage a wide range of obstetrical and gynecological conditions, providing comprehensive patient care that includes routine well-woman exams, follow-up appointments, family planning, and prenatal care. Deliveries and surgeries are performed at nearby partnered facilities, including Huntington and Arcadia hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Key responsibilities and practice highlights include:

• Operating within a clinic schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring baked-in administrative time each day.
• Participating in a call schedule currently set at 24-hour call one in every four days, which includes one weeknight and one weekend per month, with call eligible to be taken from home.
• Maintaining an average of approximately 20 patients per day supported by a dedicated care team and a collaborative group of three OB/GYNs.
• Utilizing available tools such as DAX AI Scribe once a volume of 11 patients per day is reached.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Board eligible or Board Certified, or the ability to attain certification prior to the start date.
• An unrestricted California Physician License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• A current California DEA certificate or the ability to attain one prior to starting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, alongside demonstrated excellence in communication and time management skills.

Total cash compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $278,500 to $484,500, combining base pay with potential bonuses based on factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, productivity, and performance.
