L3Harris Technologies is seeking qualified professionals for integration and test engineering opportunities based in Greenville, TX. In this role, you will participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations. You will apply basic engineering design and analytical theory, combined with an understanding of structural analysis, to support integrated system design.
Key responsibilities include conducting research, developing layouts, preparing engineering drawings, and coordinating design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production teams. Your goal will be to ensure that designs meet all project requirements at minimum cost while utilizing modern three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools alongside senior-level design engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems across various platforms.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering (or a similar field) accompanied by six years of related experience.
- A Graduate Degree accompanied by a minimum of four years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with solid computer proficiency including working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Physical requirements include the ability to walk to and from the flight line, work in an aircraft hangar environment, and board and exit aircraft. Candidates must also be willing to travel or relocate if necessary.
Preferred additional qualifications include strong CAD skills and a foundational understanding of basic aircraft systems. Please note that this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
