Optum is seeking a dedicated and community-focused Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at Genoa Healthcare. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities, ensuring that individuals with complex health conditions receive the right medications and personalized care they deserve.
As a Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, manage financial performance, and drive clinical quality. This role features a convenient schedule operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays required. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Creating an exceptional consumer and clinic partner experience while building strong, collaborative relationships
- Serving as a subject matter expert to clinical staff and counseling patients on medication usage, schedules, and potential side effects
- Ensuring all pharmacy activities strictly adhere to state and federal laws, as well as organizational policies
- Performing wellness services, including administering immunizations, flu shots, and other preventive care
- Managing, coaching, and developing pharmacy staff to foster an engaging, compassionate team environment and recruit top talent
- Reviewing key performance indicators, driving business growth, and overseeing operational excellence at the site
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Current pharmacist’s license in the state of Illinois
- Certified immunizer, or willingness to become certified within three months of hire
- Willingness to complete LAI training and administer LAI
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior pharmacy leadership experience
The annual salary for this full-time role ranges from $110,200 to $188,800, with pay determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience.
