Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Acute Care team in Lakewood, New Jersey. As a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering nursing practices based on up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards to ensure safe, excellent, and individualized patient care.
  • Communicating continuously with patients, nursing colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, care rendered, and treatment plans.
  • Administering medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies designed to maximize patient safety.
  • Completing point-of-care electronic documentation for patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Providing patient- and family-centered education focused on health optimization, wellness, and effective disease management.
  • Collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient discharges and ensure a smooth continuum of care.

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
  • A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
  • Telemetry certification and Stepdown Trauma experience are preferred.
  • A BSN in progress and/or a willingness to acquire it within three years of hire.
  • The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, demonstrate strong accountability, focus on teamwork, and maintain a deep dedication to delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care.
