About this job
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for relationship-building and exceptional communication skills? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eats Coordinator to join our dynamic Merchant Expert team. In this role as an English Speaker, you will go beyond traditional support to take full ownership of merchant relationships, anticipate challenges before they arise, and deliver outstanding outcomes for our partners.
You will serve as a key point of contact for high-impact situations, managing complex escalations from account managers and guiding merchants through critical milestones like ownership changes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will blend proactive account management, strategic outreach via outbound calls, basic sales and churn management, and seamless cross-functional collaboration to ensure long-term merchant retention and satisfaction on our platform.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing and resolving complex merchant escalations by investigating root causes and coordinating with internal teams.
- Owning the end-to-end change of ownership process, from collecting necessary documentation to keeping all parties informed.
- Utilising proactive communication and outbound calls to build high-touch relationships and prevent potential churn.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products while addressing merchant concerns with empathy and clarity.
- Maintaining meticulous records of interactions in internal systems and surfacing recurring patterns to help improve processes.
We are looking for candidates who bring exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a resourceful and adaptable work ethic, and a data-oriented mindset. While prior experience in handling escalated customer issues, managing multiple priorities, and utilising outbound calls is strongly preferred, we value a strong commitment to service excellence and a collaborative team spirit.
At Uber, bold ideas create real-world impact. Offices remain central to our collaboration and cultural identity, and employees in this role are expected to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office, unless formally approved for fully remote work or specific hub requirements. If you are ready to help us reimagine the way the world moves and drive meaningful merchant success, we invite you to apply.
