Come and join the magic with Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa! We are seeking a dedicated PBX Phone Operator for a full-time opportunity offering a pay rate of $35.84 per hour. In this role, you will provide the guest’s very first experience with the Spirit of Aulani by answering phones, assisting guests with pre-arrival needs, and continuing to provide exceptional service throughout their stay. You will also support cast members and non-guests with inquiries and requests.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating constantly with guests and cast members via a phone station while maintaining a pleasant, engaging, and positive demeanor, bringing “a smile in your voice.”
  • Answering phones, dispatching guest calls, and assisting with general questions or special requests.
  • Remaining calm in highly stressful situations, exercising high attention to detail, and utilizing exceptional listening skills.
  • Demonstrating strong computer skills, including the use of the internet and various application systems.
  • Holding engaging conversations with guests while maintaining high guest service expectations and initiative.
  • Possessing knowledge of resort offerings, emergency procedures, the Hawaiian islands, and the surrounding area.
  • Potentially cross-utilizing your skills in front desk, arrival staff, or concierge agent roles, such as handling the check-in and check-out process, greeting arriving guests, and assisting with dining reservations, hotel registration, and event schedules.

Basic qualifications and requirements for this role include:

  • Full-time schedule availability requiring open availability seven days per week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, along with mandatory graveyard availability.
  • Training availability requiring 7 to 8 weeks of full availability for both days and evenings immediately following your start date.
  • Previous computer experience and previous cash handling experience.
  • The ability to multitask, perform in a fast-paced environment, confidently utilize service recovery methods, and follow instructions.
  • Enthusiasm for interacting with and helping guests while remaining receptive to special requests.

Preferred qualifications that will help you stand out include knowledge of the Japanese or Hawaiian language, previous work experience in a hotel or front desk environment, experience in a high-volume, fast-paced office setting, and previous leadership experience.
