NP- Gastroenterology

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient Gastroenterology team in Tyler, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity within a physician-led organization where clinicians have a direct voice through our Physician Board of Directors.

As an inpatient GI Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. To help reduce administrative burdens, our care teams utilize Abridge, an AI-powered clinical documentation solution designed to save time and allow you to focus more of your attention on patients rather than paperwork. You will be supported by a robust multispecialty network comprising over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers across Northeast Texas.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Providing comprehensive inpatient care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress.
• Documenting clinical encounters accurately and efficiently using our advanced electronic tools.

Requirements for this position:

• Must hold a valid nurse practitioner license in the state of Texas or be eligible to obtain Texas licensure.
• Prior professional experience working in gastroenterology as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
