As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for completing assessments and evaluations of patient care needs related to functional status, mobility, endurance, pain, and other medical conditions. You will help determine a treatment plan, perform interventions aimed at enhancing patient well-being, and evaluate ongoing progress.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Evaluating the patient’s functional status and physical therapy needs, and assisting the physician in developing the therapy plan of care.
- Providing services within the scope of practice defined by state laws and in coordination with other members of the health care team.
- Observing and reporting the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Treating patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice.
- Instructing patients, families, caregivers, and team members regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
- Completing all patient evaluations, progress notes, and plans of care in accordance with company policy and state-specific guidelines.
Required qualifications for this role include:
- Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or reliable transportation.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of the age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment, with exact compensation determined by factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
