We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Greenville, TX. In this exciting role, you will participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations. You will apply basic engineering design and analytical theory, paired with an understanding of structural analysis, to support integrated system design. Working alongside senior-level design engineers, you will have the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems across various aircraft platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and developing design layouts for aircraft structures and mechanical systems.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Coordinating design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production departments to ensure designs meet all requirements at minimum cost.
  • Utilizing world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools to accomplish complex designs.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be actively pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering, or have successfully completed their Master’s degree within the last 12 months. Candidates must also meet the following qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The physical ability to walk to and from the flight line, work in an aircraft hangar environment, and board or exit aircraft.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred skills that will help you succeed in this role include prior CAD experience and a foundational understanding of basic aircraft systems.
