L3Harris is actively seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (SE) to join our team and support the requirement development, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware and software systems installed on ground and airborne platforms. In this dynamic role, you will ensure that customer needs are clearly understood, thoroughly documented, and mutually agreed upon, while leading the Systems Engineering Integration Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop robust technical solutions that meet the established requirement baseline.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the SEIT IPT in developing technical solutions for programs incorporating CNS/ATM equipment into airborne systems for military and commercial customers.
  • Translating customer needs into unique, verifiable system-level requirements and managing the requirement database using tools such as DOORS and CAMEO Systems Modeler.
  • Defining requirement traceability methods, leading trade study processes, and evaluating alternative solutions to establish the overall system design.
  • Writing subsystem specifications, approving technical data packages, and developing effective verification test procedures to ensure full system performance.
  • Preparing and delivering clear technical presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while managing program execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Traveling OCONUS as needed based on business demands, up to approximately 10%.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following education and experience criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship, along with the ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Demonstrated experience in program planning, engineering execution, aircraft integration, test, and delivery.

Additional preferred skills include familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, Product Lifecycle Managers like TeamCenter, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CSM, and certification activities involving the FAA (STC) and Military (MTC).
