Senior Site Merchandising Manager, Alcohol

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Site Merchandising Manager to join the Uber Retail team. In this key role, you will participate in and drive the execution of our Alcohol site merchandising strategy to create a world-class shopping experience for consumers. You will be accountable for the success of your category on the platform, including content and offers strategy, seasonal campaigns, and category management efforts, while collaborating with Product, regional, and cross-functional teams to elevate merchandising standards across all markets. You will leverage insights to ensure an engaging yet seamless shopping experience and deliver operational excellence in all merchandising efforts.

What You’ll Do

• Own the global vision and strategy for the category, including themes, promotional and offers ideas, aisle structure and ranking, assortment opportunities, and category-specific product requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to build and launch product, assets, and creative, partnering with local teams to ensure high-quality storefronts and flawless campaign execution.
• Use performance data, consumer feedback, seasonality, and industry trends to enhance the consumer journey, drive new strategies, and influence stakeholders.
• Develop and manage a global site merchandising calendar, planning key retail moments and promotional offers to maximize reach, relevance, and impact.
• Generate and share insights, learnings, and best practices with local merchandisers to continually refine strategies, optimize engagement, conversion rates, and ROI, and report on platform health.
• Develop and maintain effective workflows, processes, and timelines for merchandising activities to ensure efficient and flawless execution.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles, with a focus on global campaigns and category management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Site merchandising experience in Alcohol or a related sector is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with SQL experience and the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimize strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to innovate and experiment with a sharp focus on consumer experience, engagement, and conversion.

Location and Compensation Details

This role may be based in Chicago, IL (base salary range of USD $118,000 to $131,000 per year), New York, NY (base salary range of USD $131,000 to $145,500 per year), or San Francisco, CA (base salary range of USD $131,000 to $145,500 per year). For all US locations, employees are eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, may be offered an equity award and other compensation types, and can participate in a 401(k) plan and various benefits.
