As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will play a vital role in the assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, adaptive equipment, and other occupational therapy needs defined by medical conditions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing services within the scope of practice defined by state laws governing Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
  • Evaluating the patient’s functional status, the status of all body systems required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs while consulting with the physician to develop the therapy plan of care.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
  • Conducting patient assessments that evaluate functional levels through diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.

Required qualifications for this role include:

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or reliable public transportation.
  • Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Compensation and rewards are based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment, and we comply with all applicable minimum wage laws. Eligible team members may also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
