Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life every day? The Laurels of Kent is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively as part of an experienced and hardworking group providing skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation care to our valued guests. We are currently offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions, with all shifts available to suit your schedule.
As an LPN at The Laurels of Kent, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, providing, and managing nursing care services and health education to nursing home guests.
- Supervising the care and services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), State-Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA), and other team members.
- Administering safe and accurate medication-related interventions to guests.
- Assessing the health status of guests, notifying physicians of any changes in status, and promptly implementing new orders.
- Selecting and instituting appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a guest’s condition and prevent complications.
- Contributing to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the ongoing development of individualized plans of care.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state.
- Possess a current CPR certification (or acceptable exemption).
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
