We are currently seeking a Credit Solutions Advisor for our Village Oaks Financial Center location in San Jose, California. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position on the 1st shift, offering an hourly pay range of $25.00 to $29.61, with final offers determined based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is formulaic incentive-eligible, allowing you to earn monthly, quarterly, and/or annual incentives based on performance against defined metrics, and is fully benefits-eligible.
As a Credit Solutions Advisor, this job is responsible for providing specialized and personalized service offering advice and guidance to financial center clients through the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings at each stage of the client’s life plan. Key responsibilities include acquiring new and deepening existing client relationships by conducting client meetings and presenting customized solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. You will effectively balance sales performance, operational risk, and client relationship care by leveraging your expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized and personalized service offering advice and guidance to financial center clients through the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings.
- Building and deepening relationships with new and existing clients by leveraging the full capabilities of the bank through outreach and pipeline management activities.
- Analyzing client financial needs and applying knowledge of borrowing and banking to recommend services that align with unique client priorities.
- Presenting potential home lending product solutions, submitting mortgage applications, assisting clients with gathering supporting loan documentation, and maintaining communication throughout the mortgage process.
- Responding to client requests, making appropriate internal referrals, and partnering with financial center leaders to provide guidance and coaching to associates.
Please note that this position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system, submit to required background checks, and remain in good standing.
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to assess client needs, build trust, deepen relationships, and self-source business combined with a proven record in consultative sales.
- Strong active listening, critical thinking, and problem-resolution skills with the ability to analyze financial and credit data.
- Professional, effective, and confident communication skills for engaging clients in person and over the phone.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, adapt to changing circumstances, learn technology quickly, and work flexible hours including weekends or extended hours as needed.
- High School Diploma, GED, Secondary School, or equivalent minimum education.
- Commitment to professional ethics and compliance with all Federal and State policies, including relevant regulatory due diligence.
Desired qualifications and skills include experience in a retail loan origination role, knowledge of conventional, jumbo, HELOC, and government mortgage products, familiarity with FHA and HUD guidelines, underwriting and closing procedures, and strong computer skills including MS applications.
