Technology Outsourced Accounting Manager

Our Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) team is currently seeking a Technology Outsourced Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This is a hybrid-based position available in our Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; New York, NY; East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Whippany, NJ; Los Angeles, CA; or Irvine, CA offices. In this role, you will oversee and work collaboratively with staff and senior team members to service a wide range of dynamic technology organizations.

How you will spend your time in this role:

• Supervising, mentoring, and guiding professional accounting team members.
• Reviewing and approving vendor and contractor payments as well as payroll processing.
• Managing the comprehensive month-end close process, including reviewing proposed journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Delivering monthly financial reporting, including financial statements, narratives, and dashboards.
• Assisting with grant reporting, submissions, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
• Partnering closely with client leadership and facilitating outside annual audits.
• Ensuring proper internal controls and driving the continuous enhancement of accounting processes.

The qualifications and skills we are looking for include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• A CPA designation is preferred, and/or an MBA equivalent.
• 5 to 7+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred familiarity with NetSuite, Intacct, and/or QuickBooks accounting systems.
• Previous experience working with technology organizations, including a basic understanding of accounting and reporting standards for tech companies.
• An active involvement in your community and a strong desire to give back.

The compensation for this hybrid position ranges from $125,000 to $145,000. In addition to base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program for eligible roles, based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, such as the specific role, hiring location, and the individual candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
