We are currently looking for a Senior Business Development Associate to join our team in Iberia. In this role, you will be deeply interested in building long-term, successful commercial partnerships across Mobility and Delivery with high-profile companies, thriving in a fast-paced technology company environment.
Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of high intellect and emotional intelligence, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations. You will bring ambition and drive, capable of defining and implementing functional strategies and building partnerships to support a variety of high-priority Uber initiatives.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Collaborating with regional leaders to define and execute partnership strategies that drive Uber’s business priorities.
- Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new strategic business opportunities across multiple geographies.
- Leading end-to-end deal processes, including partner engagement, commercial constructs, contract negotiation, internal alignment, and implementation.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives of current and prospective partners.
- Coordinating closely with cross-functional teams—such as Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Policy—to ensure deal success.
- Managing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Native level Spanish and fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in business development, consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a tech-driven role, with experience in Mobility or Delivery considered a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strategic thinker with strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguity under tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of cultivating and managing strategic partnerships with senior executives.
