Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model. In India, we operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited, supporting enterprise-wide objectives through flawless execution, operational excellence, and innovation. The Banking and Lending Product Technology team delivers robust and scalable application platforms across consumer and small business banking.

We are seeking a Software Engineer II A to join our Global Business Services team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, support, maintenance, and implementation of project modules, working as an individual contributor or guiding medium-sized projects. You will help ensure minimal downtime for systems while identifying new methods to approach complex situations in database applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for efficient database operations.
• Optimize database performance, including tuning SQL queries, analyzing execution plans, and improving database structures.
• Develop and maintain database solutions for enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and implement data models and database schemas following best practices.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across distributed systems while debugging and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Implement ETL processes for data migration, transformation, and integration.
• Monitor database performance and implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product teams, participating in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database designs, PL/SQL code, and data pipelines.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Any Graduation or Post Graduation.
• Experience Range: 6 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Foundational Skills: Expert knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle Database, DB2, SingleStore, and strong SQL query optimization skills.
• Desired Skills: Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL, DB2, and SingleStore/MemSQL.
• Work Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
