We are seeking a Market Manager for a full-time, 1st shift opportunity based in Hartford, Connecticut, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Market Executive in driving out business strategy, directly managing financial advisors, and yielding responsible growth through operational excellence and risk management.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, retaining, and developing talent, creating a strong sales and service culture, and coordinating across teams to deliver a seamless client and advisor experience. You will build collaborative relationships across the market and externally to grow market share while maintaining a strong control environment.
Primary responsibilities comprise:
- Executing components of the market business plan with a focus on advisor productivity and revenue growth.
- Supporting all aspects of talent development, engagement, and retention to foster a culture of opportunity, inclusion, and respect in a matrixed environment.
- Coaching advisors to consistently deliver an exceptional client experience through guidance, feedback, and support.
- Promoting adherence to risk and compliance standards and supporting regulatory supervision of advisors in partnership with control partners.
- Representing the firm in local market activities, business development efforts, advisor recruiting, and community events.
Required qualifications and desired skills include a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, strong business acumen, executive presence, coaching, decision-making, and risk management capabilities. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, approximately 3 years of direct or matrixed management experience, and industry credentials such as Series 7, Series 63 and 65 or 66, Series 9 and Series 10, and Series 31 or 3 (or the ability to obtain them within 120 days).
The annualized salary range for this position is $170,000.00 to $215,000.00, with final offers determined based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan based on individual, line of business, and company performance, and is benefits-eligible with access to paid time off and industry-leading support resources.
