Certified Nursing Assistant

Masonicare Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team for a Day Shift position in Wallingford, CT. This is an 8-hour per week role working every other weekend (EOW), specifically located on our specialized Behavioral Health and Acute Psych Unit.

As part of our state-of-the-art 50-bed Behavioral Health Hospital unit, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our patients. In this role, you will perform basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention tailored to their specific age, needs, and abilities.

Key responsibilities and duties for this position include:

• Following individualized patient treatment plans designed to meet specific needs and abilities
• Assisting residents and patients with meals and nourishments
• Safely transferring patients using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices
• Assisting with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and daily grooming
• Observing and reporting changes in patient status to the licensed nursing staff

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Current certification as a Nurse’s Aide (C.N.A.) in the State of Connecticut
• Current CPR certification
