Bank of America is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our Global Business Services team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be part of the CFO Data Management India team, supporting global regulatory reporting and data control functions within an inclusive workplace culture that fosters career growth, collaboration, and professional development.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing monthly and daily production runs of data quality and data validation control checks for US reporting.
- Performing root cause analysis of data gaps and driving effective remediation strategies.
- Collaborating with downstream and upstream stakeholders, including middle office and finance operations, to identify automation and process enhancement opportunities.
- Engaging with Global Regulatory Reporting product subject matter experts and stakeholders to discuss new requirements and expand validation and analytical processes.
- Partnering with internal and external auditors to ensure the successful execution and soundness of internal control programs.
- Reconciling General Ledger balances with data sources to identify discrepancies and drive resolution.
- Designing and developing data controls using advanced technical tools to support regulatory submissions.
- Visualizing data gaps and presenting insights utilizing relevant reporting and visualization platforms.
Position requirements and qualifications:
- Educational background including BE, B.Tech, MCA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualifications.
- Appropriate for candidates with a foundational techno-functional background in the finance or banking domain.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory reporting principles and practices.
- Strong technical proficiency in advanced SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau.
- Experience in driving change processes, re-engineering, and automation initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a cross-functional team structure.
- Flexibility to manage multiple concurrent tasks, self-manage, prioritize, and adapt to flexible work timings between 10:30 AM and 10:30 PM.
