Nursing Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team for a night shift position at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT. This opportunity is specifically located on our specialized 50-bed state-of-the-art Behavioral Health and Acute Psych Unit. This part-time role is scheduled for 24 hours per week and includes working every other weekend (EOW).

In this role, you will perform essential, basic nursing care procedures under the direct supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse. Your primary focus will be providing compassionate, patient-centered support tailored to the unique behavioral health needs of our residents and patients in a secure, modern unit environment.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Following individualized treatment plans designed to meet the age-specific needs, abilities, and behavioral care requirements of each patient.
• Assisting patients with daily activities, including feeding, meals, and providing nourishments.
• Safely transferring patients utilizing proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
• Aiding patients with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and personal grooming.
• Maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment in alignment with acute psychiatric unit standards.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Current certification as a Nurse’s Aide (C.N.A.) in the State of Connecticut.
• Valid CPR certification.
