We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping of products, as well as maintaining proper inventory control to support our distribution operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products into and out of the distribution center safely and efficiently.
- Accepting, inspecting, and verifying inbound merchandise against delivery documents to report any damages, shortages, or mis-shipments.
- Picking, assembling, packing, and securing customer orders for accurate and timely shipment.
- Conducting physical inventories, cycle counts, and maintaining the product locator system.
- Operating a liquefied propane or electric forklift and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and store products.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area while strictly adhering to company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Collaborating cooperatively with warehouse personnel, transportation teams, and other branch associates.
Job qualifications and requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a distribution or fulfillment warehouse environment.
- Forklift certification.
- Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance record, and a positive teamwork attitude.
- Foundational skills including basic math, reading comprehension, and written communication.
- Ability to transport materials and equipment, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug testing as applicable.
The starting wage range for this opportunity is $17.21 to $22.95, depending on geographic market and qualifications.
