In this role, the Coord Mental Health Intake RN will be responsible for facilitating the intake and assessment process for patients seeking mental health services. You will work closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to evaluate clinical needs, coordinate appropriate care pathways, and ensure a smooth and supportive transition into our behavioral health programs. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health and clinical intake assessments for incoming patients
- Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate levels of care
- Providing crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and education to patients and their families
- Navigating insurance, authorization, and admission processes efficiently and accurately
