Maintenance Fitter

2XM Recruit is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter for an exciting full-time opportunity located in Wetherill Park within the Fairfield area. You will be working with a valued industrial manufacturing client that is a market leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality engineered products supplied throughout Australia and internationally.

This is an initial 6-month contract position with a view to extend, offering potential permanent pathway succession plans thereafter for the right candidate. The role involves working fortnightly rotating days and afternoon shifts from Monday to Thursday, featuring an advantageous early Friday finish.

As a Maintenance Fitter joining our client’s workshop environment, your day-to-day duties will naturally align with industry standards for mechanical maintenance and trade work. Responsibilities typically include:

• Performing routine preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of industrial machinery and workshop equipment, including press and manufacturing tools.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical faults efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Conducting scheduled inspections and ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably in accordance with company standards.
• Working collaboratively within a workshop team to support overall production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
• Complying with all relevant workplace health, safety, and operational guidelines.

Remuneration for this position is set at $57.20 per hour, plus applicable shift allowances and overtime rates paid in accordance with the schedule.
