Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice group in Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a recognized and leading team within Australia, offering exposure to a dynamic and varied range of matters.
In this role, you will work closely with a strong, multi-jurisdictionally qualified leadership team. Due to the scope and nature of the practice, your workload will include diverse national and cross-border matters, allowing you to develop your legal expertise alongside top-tier professionals.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Assisting with complex corporate restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency matters.
- Drafting and reviewing transaction documents, advisory opinions, and court pleadings.
- Conducting legal research on multi-jurisdictional restructuring and insolvency issues.
- Liaising with major Australian and foreign banks, top-tier corporates, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues across different practice groups and international offices.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate a strong background in commercial law, with a specific interest or prior experience in restructuring and insolvency. You will possess excellent communication skills, a meticulous approach to legal drafting and analysis, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
