Kier Group is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic regional build team. Based out of our Southampton and Hilsea, Portsmouth areas, this full-time position offers a 40-hour working week with some flexibility on hours available for the right candidate, as well as opportunities for remote working alongside occasional travel to the office.
In this vital role, you will play a key part in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of structural construction projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical expertise, guidance, and leadership to ensure that all engineering activities meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities for the Senior Engineer include:
- Overseeing and managing engineering operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Providing technical advice, solving complex engineering problems, and reviewing design information.
- Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain clear communication and project alignment.
- Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all assigned tasks.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineering staff within the regional build team.
The salary for this permanent, full-time position is £57,047 per year. Please note that we are unfortunately unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates for this role, and applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
