Key responsibilities and duties typically include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and piping schematics
- Cutting, threading, bending, and assembling metal and non-metal pipes and tubes
- Testing piping systems for leaks and structural integrity using pressure testing equipment
- Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines
- Maintaining equipment and keeping a clean, organized work area
