Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician within our SMR Division and be part of an exciting new era of mobile repair. While the RAC is widely known for roadside rescue, this is a distinct opportunity focused entirely on Service, Maintenance, and Repair delivered directly to our customers.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Thorney, Peterborough, operating on a 40-hour work week. Your core hours will be from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a commitment of 1 in 4 Saturdays.
We offer a competitive base salary of £40,178 per year, with total on-target earnings reaching up to £52,000 per year. To support your earning potential, we provide a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, alongside additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle repairs at customer locations
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship while adhering to safety guidelines
- Providing excellent customer service and clear communication regarding required work
- Managing your mobile workspace, tools, and inventory effectively
To succeed in this role, you should possess relevant mechanical qualifications or equivalent hands-on industry experience in vehicle service and repair, a strong customer-focused attitude, and a full UK driving licence.
