Ramsay Health Care is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scrub Nurse / ODP – Theatre Practitioner to join the dynamic team at Ashtead Hospital in Ashtead, Surrey. This is a full-time position encompassing 37.5 hours per week, offering an exciting opportunity to work within a highly respected private hospital known for delivering exceptional clinical service and patient care.
As a key member of the theatre team, your primary focus will be providing high standards of quality patient care during surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, surgeons, and anaesthetists to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operation of the theatre department.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Acting as a skilled scrub practitioner for a variety of surgical specialties.
- Preparing the operating theatre environment, instruments, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitoring patient safety and well-being throughout the perioperative phase.
- Assisting other members of the theatre team and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Complying fully with company policies, clinical governance, and health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on a flexible departmental rota, which may include weekends as required to meet the needs of the service. Applicants should hold the relevant professional qualification (Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration or Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC registration) along with proven experience working within an operating theatre environment.
