We are currently seeking an Engineering Tools and Processes Advisor to join BAE Systems, working in support of the Edgewing joint venture. This position offers a competitive salary of £41,479 per year. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site, with a preference for Frimley, but upon commencement, you will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. Please note that a financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met.
In this dynamic advisory role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support regarding engineering tools, processes, and standard methodologies within the business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering workflows are optimized, tools are effectively utilized, and processes align with organizational objectives. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on-site working; however, flexible working arrangements may be considered where appropriate.
Key responsibilities and duties in this role typically include:
- Advising teams on the proper application and integration of engineering tools and processes.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Supporting the rollout and adoption of new engineering systems, methodologies, and standards.
- Troubleshooting process bottlenecks and providing practical solutions to technical and operational challenges.
- Maintaining documentation and compliance standards across engineering projects.
