In this role, the Registered Nurse will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within our Medical Intensive Care Unit. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, monitor critical conditions, administer treatments, and advocate for the unique and intrinsic worth of each individual we serve.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Providing continuous, specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
- Monitoring vital signs, operating complex medical equipment, and administering medications according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assessing patient responses to interventions and modifying care as clinical conditions change.
- Educating patients and their families regarding medical conditions, prognoses, and ongoing care needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
