Outcomes First Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Outdoor Education and PE Instructor to join the team at Underley Garden School, located near Heysham and Morecambe. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and supervising engaging physical education and outdoor learning activities designed to inspire and challenge students. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (40 hours per week), you will help create a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can build confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills through experiential education.
Key responsibilities and duties for the position include:
- Designing and delivering dynamic PE and outdoor education curricula tailored to the needs of the students.
- Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all participants during outdoor pursuits, adventurous activities, and sports sessions.
- Assessing student progress, engagement, and development, adapting approaches to suit diverse learning styles.
- Collaborating closely with teaching and support staff to integrate outdoor learning across the broader school environment.
- Maintaining equipment and outdoor learning spaces to high safety standards.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata), alongside a travel allowance. Please note that this permanent contract is offered on a term-time-only basis starting in September 2026. Applicants must currently reside in the UK, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
