Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. Based in Digswell, Welwyn, this full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality service, maintenance, and repair work directly to our customers. Unlike traditional roadside rescue, this specialized division focuses on planned mobile vehicle care.
Your weekly schedule will consist of 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside working 1 in 4 Saturdays. We offer a competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year. To help you maximize your earnings, we also provide a guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
Key responsibilities in this role typically include:
- Performing routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently
- Ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality
- Maintaining accurate records of completed work and parts used
- Representing the RAC brand with a professional and customer-focused approach
