Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile repair. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to cover the Wollaston and Wellingborough area on a full-time basis, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase your mechanical expertise while delivering exceptional service directly to our customers.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. You will manage your mobile workshop efficiently, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality while representing the RAC brand with professionalism and pride.
This full-time position is based on a 40-hour working week, with core hours running from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, along with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota to ensure we are always there for our customers. You will enjoy a competitive base salary with on-target earnings reaching up to £52,000 per year, supported by guaranteed overtime options and additional bonus opportunities to help you maximise your earnings.
Key requirements and expectations for the role include:
- Relevant mechanical qualifications and hands-on vehicle repair experience
- A full, valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for accurate vehicle diagnosis
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your daily workload efficiently on the road
