RAC is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Roadside Vehicle Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis in Finaghy, Belfast. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping the UK moving by providing essential roadside assistance, diagnosing vehicle issues, and delivering efficient roadside repairs to members in need.
As a Roadside Technician starting and finishing directly from your driveway, your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to roadside call-outs and assessing vehicle mechanical and electrical faults
- Performing efficient diagnostics and repairs to get motorists safely back on the move
- Providing exceptional customer service to members during stressful vehicle breakdown situations
- Maintaining accurate records of completed jobs and parts used
- Working demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
- Bring at least 2 years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience
- Possess a valid UK driving licence
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions
In return for your expertise and hard work, you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 per year, along with opportunities for optional overtime to further boost your earnings.
