Sir Charles, a busy dine-in cafe located in Fitzroy in the Yarra area, is currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis. We are known for offering quality breakfast, lunch, and specialty coffee in a welcoming dining environment, and we pride ourselves on delivering excellent food and service to our local community.
In this full-time role with an annual salary ranging between A$79,000 and A$89,000, you will play a key part in our daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will bring relevant culinary experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cafe-style food preparation.
Your responsibilities in the kitchen will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing ingredients for daily food service, including washing, cutting, and portioning food items efficiently
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and customer orders
- Using various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and baking to execute our diverse menu
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace that adheres to standard health and safety regulations
- Collaborating effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Managing stock levels and handling food storage properly to minimize waste
