Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in our SMR Division and be part of a new era of mobile vehicle repair. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Mobile Mechanic based in Pytchley, Kettering, offering an attractive earnings potential of £52,000 per year.
In this dynamic field-based role, you will provide essential mechanical support, diagnostics, and repairs directly to customers. Working within a modern service delivery model, you will manage your schedule efficiently while maintaining the high standards of customer service and technical excellence associated with the RAC brand.
The standard working week consists of 40 hours, operating with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, alongside a 1 in 4 Saturday working pattern. To help you maximize your income, this opportunity includes a guaranteed overtime option to supplement your base pay, as well as additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
Key responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models at customer locations.
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
- Completing comprehensive vehicle inspections and providing clear, professional advice to customers regarding necessary repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed, parts used, and vehicle conditions in line with company procedures.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines while operating mobile equipment and working in various roadside or residential environments.
