Skilled Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Nurse Unit Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based with a focus on acute and urgent care contexts, this role plays a vital part in leading clinical services and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centered care. Your ability to guide staff, foster a supportive team environment, and maintain clinical excellence will be central to your day-to-day responsibilities.
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- Relevant post-graduate training or education in aged care, acute medical, or emergency nursing.
- Relevant post-graduate education in leadership and management, or a demonstrated willingness to undertake such studies.
- Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a healthcare team to deliver services that ensure safe, person-centered care.
- Solid knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks relevant to the role, including but not limited to the Safe Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements, and National Safety standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and clinical staff.
