Skilled Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for a permanent, full-time Nurse Practitioner position within the Emergency Department located in the Launceston Region of Tasmania. This is a day worker position offering up to 76 hours per fortnight, with start dates as soon as possible. Please note that working hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
In this critical role, you will provide advanced clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will utilize your expert clinical judgment to diagnose and manage acute care presentations, ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include:
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnostics, and management plans for emergency patients.
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health staff to coordinate patient care.
- Providing expert clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior nursing staff.
- Participating in quality improvement activities, policy development, and clinical governance initiatives within the department.
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical records.
The position offers an attractive annual salary of AUD $148,470, complemented by an employer 12% superannuation contribution. The salary range is structured in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Additionally, for eligible applicants, visa sponsorship and relocation support are available to assist with your transition to beautiful Launceston.
