Otraco International, the world’s leading provider of Earthmover and Off-road tyre management services to the mining industry, is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis. For over 50 years, we have set new benchmarks in tyre management, delivering cost savings and maximising productivity for major, blue-chip mining companies while maintaining uncompromising standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
In this Perth CBD-based role, you will play a key part in supporting our operations by championing workplace health, safety, and environmental standards. You will work closely with site teams and management to ensure our high safety benchmarks are consistently met and that all operations align with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to operational teams.
- Assisting with the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of HSE management systems and procedures.
- Conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and supporting the rollout of corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitating safety training, inductions, and communication sessions to foster a strong safety-first culture.
- Maintaining accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company and industry standards.
To be successful in this part-time HSE Advisor role, you will possess a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, ideally within the mining, heavy industry, or related sectors. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business. A proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to driving a safe and sustainable working environment are essential for this position.
